   i already tried the suggestion, and said so in the original post.

   BeOS 5 PE works fine with 4mb ram specified in the i810 config file but   
   even when changed to 8, 16, or even 32! it doesn't help in Zeta RC2.  I   
   don't think the driver is even looking at the ram specified in the   
   config.  it does seem to be a memory problem but i don't have the first   
   clue how to fix it.
