BeOS "Developer's Edition"        BONE will cause kernel panics        USB patches break network connectivity              Zeta RC2        BONE works (kinda)        Video with i810 driver is seriously screwed up        Wireless doesn't seem to work and locks the "boneyard"        USB patches and Mass storage driver work fine              BeOS "Wind"        Besides coming with a slightly screwed up default config it's not too       bad. manual editing of config files in order to produce the "settings"       option in the "window" dropdown.        BONE works for the most part, but Wireless still locks the "boneyard"       on occasion        USB patches seem to work but the mass storage driver creates an       endless list of scsi devices in the "drive setup" screen and will not       read my USB zip drive.              so... i can:       have my video but no wireless       have my zip drive but run at 800x600       /or/       have video AND BONE but no zip drive (or any umass for that matter).              does anyone know of any distros that actually work "as advertised"?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
