In comparison with VmWare's BeOs-emulation M$VPC is       lightning fast. :-)              > did you have to do anything funky to get it to work? have you only       > tried with the MS product, or did you used to have the Connectix one?              Hm... AFAIR nothing special. Create guest operation system, put the 5       Pro install CD into drive and run this guest OS. It boots from CD and       ... I do not remember any special tricks during this - only basic       knowledge required, I hope. :-) Note that the window with guest OS       should be active - looks like VPC stops it's "CPU" in case it inactive.       :-) I have a rtl8139 network card in my PC - and it is "transparently"       visible to guest OS. There are some additional network configurations -       for me works only this "real" NIC.              I have only M$ VPC build 582 under my hands. Some time ago I have tried       with some Connectix trial version, but have no success with it.              Regards,        S.Zharski.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
