   Shouldn't be this hardware because I ran BeOS R5 Professional on exactly   
   the same hardware (although only 256MB RAM) until I upgraded to a 550MHz P3.

   What SCSI controller is that? BeOS R5 only supports a small selection,   
   and it doesn't seem that anybody has written any additional SCSI drivers
