   Well, it certainly won't help with the SCSI drives, and unless he has   
   some additional IDE controller there shouldn't be a problem with those   
   controllers because I ran BeOS R4.5.2 and R5.0 on an Asus P2B.   
   Also, he tried the DevEd as well, and I bet that the DevEd includes the   
   IDE Replacement Driver already.   
      
   One thing that might be worth trying is to upgrade the BIOS to see if   
   that helps.   
      
   I also remembered that Dano had an U160 SCSI driver, but unless he tells   
   us what kind of SCSI card and chipset he actually has, it's all down to   
   speculation anyway.   
      
   My take: Unless the unrecognized SCSI adapter is interfering with IDE   
   for some reason, it's most likely a problem with the CD-ROM drive.
