   I think the point Bjørnar was making is that a computer is just another    
   appliance (albeit a multi-function appliance) so why should we have any    
   different expectations for a PC than any other appliance?

   As long as you're happy with that.  Personally, I'm with Bjørnar in that    
   I'd rather have an instant-on computer.
