Even before you save the image, by having it raw, just by       manipulating the image, each time you apply a different action, you lose a       bit of quality. It is not too much eye-detectable, but it is when printing.              > I was aware of Photoshop using 16bpp.              And the new version of PElements now supports 16bpp as well. There is also       PictureWindowPro for Windows that does it, and also Canvas.
