Just use then 800x600x8bpp or 640x480x16bpp.   
   BTW, I don't think that BeOS supports that gfx card, so in order for it to   
   work, your card must be VESA 2.0 compliant, something that I don't think it   
   is, because that C&T card seems ancient.
