   people-files are 0-byte files with the data stored in attributes   
   (so it can be queried). You'll need to zip them up on the BeOS   
   machine (BeOS-zip preserves attributes), then unzip them on the   
   other BeOS machine.   
   Or use something like BeServed to network the two BeOS machines   
   together.

   Similary, the sender and subject (and some other stuff too)   
   are obtained from attributes. This is why these things can be   
   displayed in a standard Tracker window. Since this information   
   is *also* contained in the file itself, it could be extracted   
   and put back into attributes. You could write some kind of script   
   for this.
