   Microsoft invested $150 million back in 1998, but they've long since   
   sold their Apple holdings.   
      
   OS X is a beautiful OS and its very easy to use. Linux is getting   
   better, but it is still hard compared to the Mac. On the other hand, if   
   you go with OS X, you are locked into expensive and slightly   
   underpowered Apple hardware. With Linux, you also dont have to put up   
   with Steve Jobs and his dictatorial control of all aspects of your   
   computing experience. I think Jobs is just as bad as Gates, just  in a   
   different way. Linux lets you choose. Life is full of tradeoffs.
