They're       > prosecuting him under American law.              As far as I know, that is a rare example of someone       being extradited, and it is far more normal for someone       to be charged under the laws of the country they       actually live in.              I was reading just recently about a virus released by a       Filipino that caused billions in damage and because       there was no Filipino law against that at the time, and       the Philippines constitution didn't allow backdated       laws, he wasn't charged at all. He wasn't extradited to       every country in the world that did have such laws to       face consecutive life sentences either.              Maybe if I was selling a product with the allegedly       copyrighted "AM31" in the American market, instead       of just the Australian market, there would be grounds       for extradition.
