      From: muta...@gmail.com              I'm currently looking at changing the partition id from 0b to 0c.              And I came to the realization that I might be doing the reverse       of what Microsoft did (for valid reasons).              I don't need compatibility with old software, I'm interested in       compatibility with old hardware.              So I am happy to use 0c to get LBA activated, but if I detect       that LBA isn't available (in the BIOS), I'm happy to treat a 0c       disk as a 0b disk and rely on the CHS values.              I think.              BFN.
