   It's the backscatter noise of people responding to the cranks   
   that becomes an issue.  Even though I ignore them, people   
   responding still drag them up.  Usually the responses, while   
   well-intentioned, just perpetuate the abuse.   
      
   It's a shame comp.os.research doesn't exist anymore; that seems   
   the most relevant to people actually working on OSes and VMMs.
