And yes there are 12V lifepo4 batteries       that can be a direct replacement for the LA batteries, but thye aren't       cheap. I made up a 10ah 20C lico/lipo 7s battery out of 5 year old lipo       cells a few years ago and ran them in my 24V source 750va ups for several       years before they finally lost most of their capacity. Most of the cells I       used had been depuffed by me before assembling them, But they worked fine       until they lost their capacity. The ups kept them charged at no more than       28.1V (~4V per cell). The biggest problem is the cost for new ones       compared to LA batteries. This was documented here.       https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?       f=14&t=82386&p=1243983&hilit=ups#p1209606              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
