From: tempest@ina.com              Paul, you were so helpful that I thought I would let you know that I       finally got everything going last night. It took until the wee hours,       but I did it all in Master PDF Editor. I simply kept exporting test       images until when re-merged into a new PDF, the total size was under 100       MB. There was very little quality lost in the end. I ran the OCR once       completed and then re-saved.              I should point out that OCR did interfere with everything I was trying       to do and would show itself in strange ways either with error messages,       weird characters over the images, etc. The solution was simply not to       run it and then save until all the resizing was completed.              Even learning the aforementioned, this is something I hope to not to       have to do again for a while. Years ago, I owned one of the versions of       Adobe Pro under Windows. A simple "pdf flatten" would have been all I       would have had to do and no further headaches, but those days are long       gone. Master PDF Editor has a flatten function available, but only for       the registered version. Go figure. Thanks again for your help.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
