Yeah, but this wasn't auto-complete, especially not the first time
that I tried typing it (back in October).

The matching is case-insensitive, but when it fills in the completed text
it changes to the same capitalisation as the previous entry.  After it's done
that, you can undo (Ctrl+Z) the case matching to get what you typed.

Unfortunately, - had no effect. The decapitation (sorry)
   happened on-the-fly when I hit .

   > You might also want to go back and change those previous entries to the
   correct capitalisation

I wasn't even able to do that with the first entry.

However, I did some more experimenting. I started by typing:
I didn't go to the Loop Trail
in that same column. It left it alone. Then, I started changing
a few words here and a few words there, until I got to my
   desired text. No problem!

So I copied from that cell to the several others that should
   have had it. No problem.

I carefully saved it and then re-opened it. Every cell referring
to "the Loop Trail" now had the correct capitalization. However,
   when I started typing:
      E pkg lot to t
it did an auto-complete -- without the correct capitalization.
It didn't mess with the correctly capitalized cells above it,
it just wanted to not let me type it correctly. However, since
I now have good examples, I can use - - to
copy and paste if I do that same hike again. Which I probably
   will.

So the problem has been worked around, if not fixed.
