Developmentally it has taken       Wayland a very long time to work its way in and is still a work in       progress. From a practical perspective, personally I don't really 'care       about' the difference. There are 'complicated' articles which discuss       the details of the 'architectural' difference in the display tech.              If you just want to 'blindly' disable the choice, one method would be to       disable Wayland instead of disabling xorg.              My understanding is that you can do that in              /etc/gdm3/custom.conf              WaylandEnable=false              I'll experiment w/ a live Ub 22.04 and see.                     --       Mike Easter              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
