This froup is       very quiet.              I see more activity in other linux groups I visit, such as aol & aol.mint.              The ubuntu forum, otoh, is very active. Historically, if I ask a       question in a newsgroup when I haven't been able to find an answer by       looking around elsewhere, and feel that I 'have to' ask my question in a       web forum, and then I get an answer there because there is more       'attention' in the web forum, I have always come back to the newsgroup       and posted my solution, in an effort to keep my /preferred/ exchange       method alive and well.              Times change; people's behaviors change. Some of the people who 'used       to' be active in newsgroups don't do that anymore.              Also, if you are looking for help for a question, searching in the Ub       web forum is a pretty good source of information. There are some very       strong 'advisors' there.              --       Mike Easter              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
