   This site has both a Windows EXE executable, as well as a   
   .tar.gz tarball with source in it. Unpack the tarball   
   in Linux, into a folder, fire up Terminal, CD to the   
   directory with the source, type    make    and   
   the executable will appear in about five seconds.   
   Then   ./nbtscan 192.168.2.0/24   will scan a 256 node subnet.
