   Out of courtesy, I contacted the service center and told them Brother   
   will replace the printer. They confessed that they would not have looked   
   at it anyway as the small reimbursement they'd get would not make it   
   even worth while for a tech to look at it.   
      
      
   I'm convinced that both Brother and the service center deliberately make   
   things tough to deal with so that most people just give up.
