   I've often had touchpads that do that, as well as "clicking" on something   
   I just want to move the pointer over.   
      
   Because of those things, I normally disable the touchpad and use something   
   else. This particular laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad) had a pointing stick   
   (between the G H and B keys) without that problem. It can be easier to use   
   an external mouse (wireless with small receiver if tangling cords are a   
   problem).
