I am using 24.04, and just logged       into my ThinkPad and while I was working the upgrade popup did appear       and on top, but still did not steal my focus. Yes still annoying.       However in earlier versions you can disable that popup in Settings >       Notifications > Software Updater. But it looks like it is missing on       both my laptops running 24.04. It appears Canonical made a change in       24.04. I am looking for where they moved the setting to, because I do       not mind if a notification toast occurred, but a popup dialog is       distracting. But as I said, at least in my experience is does steal       focus. I am looking is there is some dconf teak or some GNOME extension       that would work. Maybe even some systemd service edit.              HTH                     --       Take care,              Jonathan       -------------------       LITTLE WORKS STUDIO       http://www.LittleWorksStudio.com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
