   I would use Etcher.

   Cross platform. Download etcher and flash the Unbuntu iso onto a USB.   
   Backup the W11 machine   
   Boot the W11 machine from the drive and press install Ubuntu. Follow the   
   instructions. Slow and easy is best first time.   
      
   (Once you have booted from the Ubuntu USB stick you are in the Linux   
   environment so you can create a partition(s) for Ubuntu along side the   
   Windows 11, assuming there is enough space.
