    As mentioned in other responses, such as Carlos' and mine, it has   
   nothing to do with fandom. 'Maria', commonly known as 'Arlen' (an old   
   nym) just copies ('steals') headers and in this case, he happened to   
   copy Paul's 'User-Agent:' header. As he copies headers at random,   
   there's no relation between his (ab)use of Paul's header and his   
   'familiarity' with Paul.
