   That turns out to be a great troubleshooting aid, another PS, 'brand   
   new' and operational.   
      
   In your case, you need not only a spare/extra PS, you need a spare/extra   
   PS checker :-)   
      
   But I don't assemble things any more.  Well, I guess I do; I recently   
   bought a 10" android tablet and then a SIM and a SD and put those in :-)
