   Well, yes, but... (or yabbut...)   
      
   ... the distro maintainers are very busy and 'understaffed' :-) They   
   can't 'keep up' w/ all of the source and compiling for each release.   
      
   There is a 'world' of software dev/s out there, who come up w/ a 'linux'   
   product/source and look around at each other and say, "Now what do I do?"
