   I am a regular user of xsane and for many years scanned at 400 dpi.   
      
   Now I can only use 300 or 600 dpi.   
      
   Despite consulting ChatGPT and Google's AI I cannot find a way of   
   changing it.   
      
   I do not want a convoluted solution involving further steps but it is   
   irritating.
