From: pinnerite@gmail.com              Yesterday I assembled a new system and placed it into a Midi case.       I left the firing up to today.              The motherboard is a Gigabyte B650 elite or something. It cam with a       small [plastic casting that turned out to be a guide for the front       panel plugs that invariably drive us all mad. It is labelled on both       sides. You slip the tiny plugs into it where indicated and end up with       one larger plug that goes straight into the motherboard socket.       Brilliant!              Anyway I was encouraged to buy this board and its predecessor by a       local engineer, because it has diagnostic LEDs. As I brought it up, one       came on. The DDRAM one, I had put the memory strips in the wrong       sockets. The handbook is not clear.              Anyway I correxcted that and up it came. I installed put a Mint 22.1       onto its NVMe and whoopee!              My wife is pleased because she needed the dining room tonight for 'er       dining.              If you had observed my suffering since early May you would understand       what a relief this is.              Thank you for all the advice along the way,              Alan              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
