There were some fiber cables cut recently in one
part of the world, and traffic in the vicinity of
   that vandalism will be affected.

Whereas this is more likely to be the confluence of LM222 being
released and Ubuntu also releasing one of their interim releases.
Both OSes are likely demanding a refresh of a huge firmware
   file as part of installation.

The firmware, as I understand it, can include something related
to MOK for UEFI, and that is why it is coming from a server
   with "secure" in the name.

There has got to be a better way to deliver this stuff.
Not all of the component files in the blob, need to be
   handled that way.
