For example, there       are modules added to the host, via DKMS (a given version of VirtualBox       then, could have a "range of acceptable kernels" from a DKMS perspective).              It's the same with "virtualbox-additions" added to a Guest.       Driver level additions for various convenience features.              There was a complaint by VirtualBox once that "Microsoft changed the       number of parameters on some kernel call" requiring an emergency patch.       There is no way for us to imagine or figure out, exactly what they have       been messing with in the innards of the machine.               Paul              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
