   Download this and save it:   
      
   http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/main/f/fonts-ubuntu/fonts-   
   buntu_0.83-6ubuntu1_all.deb   
      
   Then go into the folder where you saved it, click right and choose "Open   
   in terminal".   
      
   In the terminal, type:   
      
   sudo dpkg -i fonts-ubuntu_0.83-6ubuntu1_all.deb   
      
   Enter your password and enter.   
      
   Normally you could just double-click the deb-file, but since this is an   
   old package Mint will refuse to install it. That's why you have to   
   install it with sudo in the terminal.
