   The "style" of the closure would likely be different, if   
   that was not the case.   
      
   For example, if the operation was bankrupt say, the closure   
   might not even net a message about it.   
      
   A "controlled descent", with a time span like that, implies   
   a policy coming from somewhere. I do not define my retirement   
   in 2.000 years, I bugger off at some random time, like maybe   
   I can clean up the mess in three months and leave. Having a   
   defined date of such precision implies an external factor.   
   Like a lease for a space.
