My brother - intelligent enough       guy, just not _interested_ in such matters - knows his computer is       Windows, but might not be sure which version; some users may not even       know that. (Probably _will_ be Windows, as virtually all mainstream       suppliers in UK only sell those. Or Apple stores of course.)              I follow much the same: when I want something to do something that the       basic OS or the software I already have don't do, I will look at a       couple - but not every such offering on the "market"; as soon as I find       one that does what I want _reasonably_ well, I stop looking, _even if       there might be one out there that does it better_. Examples include       partition manager (I have the EaseUS one) and clipboard extension (I so       rarely use it I'll have to go look - It's Clipdiary).              --        J. P. Gilliver.
