I had a Burgundy version of Office 95! (I think it was 95.) It was
basically 95 (?) with patches, so in effect Office 98 or whatever year
we'd got to; I bought it as a CD at a computer fair. Seemed to be a
genuine Microsoft product, but I'm pretty sure not supposed to be sold
separately - intended for sale with a PC, or something like that. The CD
had a lot of purple on the "label", and the word Burgundy appeared - I
can't remember whether in how the product identified itself, or just on
   the CD "label".

(Was Savoy Linux the Ritz of distros?)
