     His concern is about his newsreader, not NetNews software in general,   
   and there are probably more GUI newsreaders on Windows than on Windows.   
      
     Anyway, the point is moot, because it's not about *a* (GUI)   
   newsreader, but about one which is compatible in its GUI, configuration,   
   scoring, etc., etc..   
      
     As you can see from my User-Agent: header, I don't have that problem,   
   but I would hate to have to switch to a different newsreader, just   
   because someone thinks hir OS is 'better'.
