   I suppose I should clarify (and break down) those cryptic-looking   
   groff(1) options at the start:   
      
       -man -- include the macros needed for laying out man pages   
       -k   -- run preconv(1) to convert any input encoding (i.e. UTF-8)   
       -t   -- invoke tbl(1), in case man page has any tables in it   
      
   I have found the latter two useful for my own man pages, which is why   
   I included them. ;)
