   It could be that the preview is done by another graphics subsystem like GTK   
   (multiple versions).   
      
   You would have to download the source and have a look through it, for the   
   preview method.   
      
   Notice in the video, that the selection of scale for the previews, they either   
   fill the preview area, or, they hardly make good usage of the preview area.

   I looked at the Config file, and there is nothing in there   
   that controls the scale (thumbnails versus regular sized pictures).
