   No workaround needed anymore. Classic Menu has been added to Cinnamon   
   Applets (Spices), if you want to revert to the old standard menu. Just   
   download it from applets (right click on your panel and add it to your   
   panel).   
      
   If you're working off Linux Mint 22.3 beta, you might have to update it   
   first to see the Classic Menu option — that's what I did to test it. (I   
   don't know how often beta updates are renewed for downloading.)
