From: laidlaws@hotkey.net.au              Just finished burning the ROSA release, codenamed "Marathon," and ran it as       a live DVD (1.4 Gig.) It didn't seem any different from any other KDE       distro. It had the infamous ROSA menuing screen, and I didn't try to revert       to a classic menu. It lacked a bit of polish, to be expected in a Beta.              The .torrent file had only one seed most of the time, and sometimes none,       but they seem to prefer direct downloads. The Home Page (www.rosa.ru) is in       Russian only. It may become the Russian national distro, but I can't see it       ever being really competitive worldwide. I didn't browse its features in       any depth. There is a short description at Linux Tracker, whic suggests       that they are replacing some of the traditional Mandriva tools with their       own.              Doug.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
