   Yes, that is what should happen. What happens instead is that the   
   device is not mounted, and dolphin opens ~/Documents instead.

   Nope, no mount. Yes, I need some clues as to what it could be in the   
   udev.   
   Right now I have other problems. That computer is dead, so I have bought   
   a new one and will have to install Mandriva/Magaei on it (I am still   
   undecided as to which). Mandriva 2011 seems to have a more recent kernel   
   than Magaei 1, and the wireless seems to work better. But I really hate   
   the new KDE. What is the idiocy of Application launcher opening a whole   
   screen covering the whole desktop? It is lunacy. Can one get back the   
   old behaviour?   
      
   (I tested out both Magaei 1 and Mandriva 2011 with the CD versions.
