   nope. There is war on between the various linux distros and Joerg, in   
   which the only loosers are the users. It is a nasty idiotic war, but   
   then most are, full of rampant egos, and little sense.   
      
   Anyway, what it looks like is happening is that the script is first   
   compling smake, and thus afterwards it will be available, and then   
   compiling cdrecord. When you first compile smake, you do not have smake,   
   and so there are complaints. Anyway, does cdrecord work? If so, be   
   happy.   
   (Ie, fortunately in this war, the civilian population can sneak around   
   the combatants and get their food, unfortunately without delivery.
