   email is usually in HOME/.kde4/share/apps/kmail
Check it first to be sure but the last time, long ago, I copied and moved
   the entire folder.

Don't forget your set up customising files in

   HOME/.kde4/share/config

A fun test is to pull them all out somewhere SAFE , start Kmail and see how
it behaves. You usually get the welcome to kmail default and wizard
