   Just an FYI. I noticed when I shrank the winders partition,   
   formatted/labeled my Mageia partition prior to install, the Mageia   
   partitioning phase automagically renumber them. :(   
      
   I suggest making a note to self to fix all the chain load grub/lilo/fstabs as   
   needed in previous installs.   
      
   I assume the next Mandriva release will probably have that "feature".
