I hope you don't mind that I used your post to start that thread       off without asking you first. After all, these are public posts, not       private emails, and I didn't see anything embarrassing or personal in       that one.              > I know it wasn't long after this thread started       > I went ahead and kill filed it.              That's fine with me -- that's why I'm keeping it as one very long       thread, so it's easier for anyone to killfile (rather than killfiling       me!). I'm also trying to keep it at least somewhat on technology, in       hopes others will find at least parts of it interesting and worth       replying to.              BTW did you notice that the subject of security came up in /this/ thread       because of the "Get your non-UEFI hardware while you can" thread you       started? That persuaded me to buy a new system sooner rather than       later, which means my current (desktop) system will be moved to the       other room and connected via Wi-Fi which I'm not very familiar with.       But that's in the new thread. ;-)              Adam       --       Registered Linux User #536473              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
