That will work. rsync can get links       > and acls (Access Control List) with the additional feature of removing       > files in target/destination which are not in from/source partition.              I don't think I'm usually backing up anything where ACLs would matter.       My backups don't include anything that would be restored by a reinstall.        They're mainly /home, /accounts, /usr/local, and /etc (because of all       the config files in /etc that I've modified).              Once I get the new system up, I'll have to rethink my backup methods and       where rsync would be appropriate.
