   On this 232Gb laptop, I reduced the Windoze C partition to 30 Gb and   
   thought it would be plenty. It seems there is a sub-directory within the   
   windows directory called winsxs that contains a copy of every component   
   of the operating system that ever existed just in case it might ever be   
   needed. It is now > 12GB. I would say 160 GB might be large enough....
