When I was in Michigan and using rabbit ears for the TV, I noticed the
microwave interfered with VHF reception. Does that mean that a powerful
2.4 GHz transmitter would also work as a microwave? :-)

I suppose that goes for both ends of the Wi-Fi. I could use a new
answering machine in the other room near eris, but all they seem to sell
these days are cordless phone/answering machine combos. Maybe some of
   them aren't 2.4 GHz.

Also, it's a lot easier if the major screwups are made at the beginning,
like I seem to be doing. At least eris is now in the other room and
   successfully running with Wi-Fi.
