   Rumor has it the microwave heating effect was discovered by radar   
   technicians who discovered they felt warm when they walked in   
   front of a transmitting antenna.  Or, maybe the technicians found   
   that their chocolate bars had melted more thorougly than would be   
   expected from the weather conditions.
