From: Daniel47@teranews.com              On this HP 6730b Laptop I currently have Windows 7, Mandriva 2009.0 and       Mandriva 2010.0 on the 250GB HD and I want to install Mandriva 2011 and       Mageina 2.              Current break up of sda:-       sda1 60GB NTFS-3G Windows 7 C:       sda2 22GB NTFS-3G Programs D:       sda3 19GB NTFS-3G Games E:       sda5 4GB Linux Swap       sda6 20GB Ext3 / Mandriva 2009.0 (15.5GB free)       sda7 18GB Ext3 /alt Mandriva 2010.0 (13.6GB free)       sda8 85GB Ext3 /Home (57.2GB free)              I mainly use 2009, so I could replace 2010 with 2011 without much       trouble for me, but my preference would be to have all four linux       versions available.              As the two installed OS's are each only using about 5GB of their mounts,       can I just divide sda 6 in two and sda 7 in two, giving me sda's 9 and       10 (or whatever) on which to install my two newish OS's and have them       all make use of the single /Home??              Side question What has likely happened to sda4??              TIA              Daniel              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
