Any other suggestions?              Not really, when I have problems, I click up a few terminals, run       su - root in one of them then the command       tail -f /var/log/messages              In another terminal, as the user, run       tail -f ~/.xsession-errors              I then run the failing command in a third terminal to see if anything of       interest shows up in any of the terminals.              You can do a "Control c" to abort the tail -f commands and "exit" to close       the terminals. A Control d should also close a terminal when at the prompt.       That assumes no space, tab, or any other characters on the line.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
